There may have been a chill in the air, but there was certainly warmth and generosity in abundance at the Nolan Charity Fund Gala Dinner, which raised over £7,000 for worthy causes in Wales.
The black tie event, held in aid of the charity, hosted 130 guests in the Merlin Suite at the Halliwell Centre, Carmarthen, on Saturday 3rd December. Guests were treated to a 3 course dinner and live band entertainment from Lenny Dee and his band Casual Affair.
Laughs were abound with former squash champion Adrian Davies taking to the mic and compering the evening’s events, which included a game of heads and tails, mannequin challenge, charity auction and raffle, all culminating together to raise £7,022.47 for the fund.
Sponsored by Delme Owens and Carmarthenshire Tyre Services of Johnstown, the event was the first gala dinner hosted by the charity. Commenting on the event, Nolan Charity Fund trustee, Nolan Nicholas, said:
“This was our first gala dinner and I am delighted to have seen so many people here this evening in support of the charity and the work that we do, and to enjoy a fun filled evening.
“I would like to personally thank my fellow trustee Robert Taylor and Delme Owens of Carmarthenshire Tyre Services for sponsoring the event. Delme has been a great supporter of the charity ever since its launch in 2015. I am pleased the event has raised so much money, which means we can continue with the work we do and support many more organisations and individuals who need a helping hand now and again.”
